The deletions listed below are described in Parks et al., 2004. This Exelixis deletion collection provides 56% coverage of the euchromatic genome. Unless otherwise noted in the stock description, Exelixis deletions were generated and are maintained in an isogenic background. A slide presentation about the Exelixis collection is available here. Some of the insertions used to make these deficiencies are described in Thibault et al., 2004; others are unpublished. The original sequence data generated by Thibault et al. was reanalyzed by the Gene Disruption Project (GDP) and their results were submitted to GenBank. Deficiency endpoints are expressed as Release 3 coordinates in the table below when flanking sequence for the progenitor insertion is not available in GenBank. GDP is currently mapping the hybrid insertion element in deficiency lines with ambiguous endpoints. Data will be included here as it becomes available, and will be submitted to GenBank when the work is complete.

Our complementation tests have shown that 8% of the stocks in the original Exelixis deletion collection did not carry the described deletion and that 77% of the stocks are deficient. The remaining stocks are either still being tested or we cannot verify the presence of a deletion by complementation tests.
