The Minos transposable element system and the Mi{ET1} construct are described in Metaxakis et al., 2005.
Mi{MIC} is described in Venken et al., 2011.
EGFP is the only scoreable marker carried by Mi{ET1}. The construct is not marked with white, yellow, rosy or any other visible marker.
Mi{MIC} is marked with y[+mDint2]
The insertion lines were generated by the Gene Disruption Project. The screen generating the Mi{ET1} insertions is described in Bellen et al. 2011 and the screen for Mi{MIC} insertions was described in Venken et al., 2011.
The Mi{ET1} insertions were generated in the same genetic background as the DrosDel Project insertions and deletions. DrosDel starter stocks can be used to manipulate these Minos stocks while retaining the isogenic background. The Mi{MIC} insertions are in a different (undefiined) background.
