Conditions and Options for DHL Shipping
  1. DHL service is offered to international customers only.
  2. You have the option of providing your own DHL number for your shipments and paying DHL directly, or using our account and reimbursing us for the DHL charges along with your other user fees.
  3. Beginning March 28, 2011, DHL shipments from the BDSC will no longer ship "duties and taxes paid". This change will save everyone $15 per shipment in DHL charges. Most countries we ship to do not impose duties or taxes, so the only difference most of you will see are lower courier costs. Others will pay duties and taxes directly to DHL.
  4. Begining January 2011, the BDSC handling fee will be higher for DHL shipments ($8 per shipment) than for Postal Service shipments ($5 per shipment). This increase reflects the additional time required by our staff to prepare packages for courier shipment and handle the additional record-keeping.
  5. DHL shipments are processed weekly for Tuesday shipment (excepting holidays). See Shipping Schedule for details of our shipping routines. Orders received on accounts that have signed up for DHL shipping are accumulated until the next scheduled DHL shipment.
  6. Dead-on-arrival stocks should occur at a much lower frequency; therefore, each DOA order from DHL shipments will be examined on a case-by-case basis.
  7. DHL shipment on our account is offered to BDSC accounts in good standing.
  8. Courier charges are not waivable.
US Postal Service shipping is the default for all accounts. The account holder must authorize use of DHL for a given account. Contact us to change your account's shipping method to DHL.
