RNAi lines for genes starting with D to M are listed here. Most, but not all, of the insertions are under the control of UAS and therefore require GAL4 for expression.
The majority are lines generated by the Transgenic RNAi Project (TRiP) in one of five VALIUM vectors -- VALIUM1, VALIUM10, VALIUM20, VALIUM21 or VALIUM22
Basic VALIUM vector information (for specifics, please see the TRiP site):
1. VALIUM1 - these are the "weakest" and very likely require the inclusion of UAS -Dicer2 for maximum effect.
2. VALIUM10 - UAS-Dicer2 likely not needed; works well in the soma but usually not as well as VALIUM20.
3. VALIUM20 - UAS-Dicer2 not needed as they use shRNAs; usually gives stronger effects than VALIUM10 in the soma; also works well in the germline.
4. VALIUM21 and VALIUM22 - UAS-Dicer2 not needed as they use shRNAs; both contain a P transposase basal promoter and a K10 polyA for germline expression. These do not work well, if at all, in the soma.

Wolbachia status - Be aware that Wolbachia is present in the TRiP collection. We don't know what percentage of the collection carries Wolbachia but you should check the status of your particular stock if the presence or absence of Wolbachia might affect your results. ** Some dsRNAs/shRNAs target more than one gene. The "# Targets" column indicates how many targets the transgene is thought to hit. To see other targets, either filter for the stock number or click the stock number to see the stock report.
