These homozygous, inbred, wild-type lines from a single wild-type population in Raleigh, North Carolina have been sequenced and characterized phenotypically as described in Mackay et al. (2012) and Drosophila Genetic Reference Panel White Paper. They are particularly useful for association mapping of quantitative trait loci and as a source of sequence polymorphisms.
